Senior Laboratory Manager Clinical Research Dermatology Animal Health (m/f)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and assess new areas of interest for Bayer Animal Health (AH) in the field of internal medicine/dermatological diseases in collaboration with external experts
  • Identify, assess, prepare and lead decisions for development of internal and external research candidates in a timely manner and within a complex global matrix organization;
    research candidates should meet requirements for approval at least in Europe and the US
  • Collaborate closely with Bayer affiliates (especially Pharma) to identify internal research candidates and animal health colleagues in global development hubs to take full advantage
    of available expertise and resources
  • Identify, plan, organize, contract, manage and supervise internal and external resources needed to execute and perform research activities/studies or the identified research
    candidates
  • Find suitable research facilities and qualified researchers as well as establish animal models internally or externally to execute the planned activities and assure adherence to
    the overall project timelines
  • In your role as project scientific lead (m/f) be responsible for the optimal execution of the research phase in close collaboration with project management and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) lead; later on it is expected to provide scientific guidance during the development phase and launch (incl. publications)
  • Attend scientific meetings, continuing education courses and keep abreast of professional publications/newest developments in animal health industry and veterinary profession

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • PhD in veterinary medicine or pharmacology with strong background in veterinary internal medicine, specialized in veterinary dermatology incl. solid understanding of related
    immunology
  • Several years‘ experience in pharmaceutical industry research or development
  • Strong skills in leading multidisciplinary scientific teams as well as ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues from Pharma and global development hubs, CROs and key opinion leaders
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, and follow-up on work assignments, maintain accurate records, be able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent English and excellent presentation skills
